Original Arcade Titles
Self-published action games designed around one perfect mechanic — high-score loops, tight input windows, and readable chaos on every screen.
Melbourne arcade studio
ActionArcadeLab.ink is a small Melbourne studio making twitchy, replayable action games — original titles, co-development for other teams, and custom cabinet builds for venues.

A note from the founder
I started ActionArcadeLab.ink in a Little Bourke Street loft after fifteen years bouncing between mobile studios and the last of Melbourne’s CBD arcades. The pitch was simple: make action games with instant controls, a 90-second learning curve, and a reason to press start one more time.
Everything we ship is tested on a real cabinet before it ever hits a screen. If a run doesn’t make the team lean forward within the first ten seconds, it goes back to the whiteboard. That obsession with feel is the whole studio in one sentence.

What we do
From a single prototype to a full cabinet install, we scope the work around how the game should feel in your hands.

We embed with your team to sharpen combat feel, tune difficulty curves, and ship the last 20% that makes a build sing. Sprint-based, no lock-in.

Bespoke arcade cabinets for bars, expos, and offices — hardware, artwork, and a exclusive title tuned to the venue, delivered install-ready.

Neon Dash ate my entire lunch break for a month. It’s the only mobile game I’ve finished a run on and immediately restarted. That never happens.
We put their custom Dust Rally cabinet in the front bar and it hasn’t stopped drawing a crowd. The build quality and the artwork are genuinely gorgeous.
Marcus and the team spent three sprints on our combat feel and the difference is night and day. Our reviews specifically call out how good the game feels now.
Grid Breaker at the expo booth had a queue all weekend. Easy to pick up, brutal to master — exactly what an arcade game should be.
